Records
The Admissions and Records Office maintains
permanent academic records which include Palo Verde College transcripts and may
include transcripts from other colleges and Palo Verde College placement exam
results. Information from Admissions Applications and schedules of classes are
also stored.
Directory Information may be released at the discretion
of the college unless a student has notified the college in writing that such
information shall not be released (see Student Rights to Privacy | FERPA | Request to Prevent Disclosure of Directory Information for
further information regarding Directory Information).
The Admissions
and Records Office prepares and permanently retains records of student's
academic work at PVC for regular sessions as well as for summer sessions. The
student academic record chronologically lists courses, units, grades, cumulative
grade point average, transfer credits and total
units.
Transcripts
The transcript of a student's Palo Verde
College academic record is released only upon receipt of a signed request by the
student authorizing the release. These requests may be made in person at the
Registrar's Office. Telephone requests cannot be honored.
For regular
service there is a fee of $5.00 for each official transcript. Requests should be
made one week in advance of the time the transcript is needed.
For rush
service there is a $10.00 fee (in addition to the regular service fee of $5.00
for each official transcript). The transcript is available the next working day
after receipt of the request. Additional fees will be charged for express overnight processing.
Payment is due in advance for all
transcript service. A check or money order payable to Palo Verde College should
be submitted with the Transcript Request. All outstanding debts to the College must
be paid in full before a transcript will be released.
Students are
strongly advised to check their academic records carefully and to bring any
discrepancies to the attention of the Admissions and Records Office
immediately.
