BOGW Eligibility

You are eligible for a 2011-2012 Board of Governors Fee Waiver if 

You are a California resident AND you meet any one of these criteria:

  1. You or your family are receiving public assistance from the Temporary Assistance to Needy Families (TANF) or Supplemental Security Income (SSI) or General Assistance/General Relief or have certification from the California Department of Veteran Affairs 
     

  2. You meet the following income standards:

  3. You have completed the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) and have financial need. 

The fee waiver program was designed for speed and efficiency

  • BOGW is financial aid assistance that does not need to be repaid. 
     

  • You may be eligible for a fee waiver even if you are not eligible for other financial aid. 
     

  • The BOGW application is simple to complete. 
     

  • BOGW applicants do not have to be enrolled in a minimum number of courses (whether you take 1 unit or 21 units) the enrollment fee may be waived. 
     

  • BOGW  applicants only need to apply once to have fees waived for the academic year and the summer session.
