UMOJA MEMBERSHIP

AS A MEMBER OF THE UMOJA COMMUNITY @ PVC YOU WILL:

• Be eligible to apply for PVC Umoja Scholarships
• Be eligible to receive Umoja Awards of Recognition
• Get Umoja swag
• Build community and friendships
• Receive personal and academic support
• Be eligible to attend Umoja conferences and events outside of the Palo Verde Valley with little to no cost to you
• Be eligible for priority registration at Palo Verde College (coming soon – TBA)
• May indicate membership in the Umoja Community upon application to Universities of California. You should then receive information about the Umoja Community at Universities you may wish to transfer to.

TO JOIN THE UMOJA COMMUNITY @ PVC:

• Attend the next Umoja Community meeting (see meeting schedule)
• Read, agree to, and complete the Umoja Community @ PVC Contract
• Meet the terms of the Umoja Community @ PVC Contract to maintain membership in the Umoja Community @ PVC
