Education
Training is the most important part of the CalWORKs program. As a cash aid recipient, students can obtain the training they need in order to be independent and have financial freedom. Acquiring a higher level of education means obtaining a career, with a more substantial income and long term stability.
You may qualify for assistance with books, educational supplies, as well as child
care. Call now to find out what programs are available right here in Blythe, at Palo
Verde Community College.
Child Care
Students enrolled in the CalWORKs program may be eligible for childcare funding. Daycare
centers, licensed providers, and relatives are all eligible to be daycare providers
for the CalWORKs students. Providers are reimbursed for providing care while students
attend classes, or work.

CalWORKs can help place student in jobs based on their area of study or career goals.
CalWORKs may reimburse the employer 75% of the students wages up to one full academic
