2026 Palo Verde College Commencement

General Information:
Commencement is free for all graduates; however, registration is required to participate in
the ceremony and receive guest tickets. Due to capacity limits in the gymnasium, each
graduate will be issued up to four (4) tickets. Guests without tickets may watch the Commencement Ceremony from the overflow viewing
area in the Theater.
Graduate check-in begins at 9:00 AM, and doors will open for guests at 10:00 AM.
Eligibility to participate: All ceremonies are reserved for graduating students from PVC who are eligible to participate. You are eligible to participate in Commencement if:
- You completed all degree and/or certificate requirements and conferred for Summer 2025, Fall 2025 or
- You have petitioned to graduate for Spring 2026.
Note: Participation in Commencement does not confirm that you have successfully completed
all the requirements for graduation.
Complete All Steps:
STEP 1. Register for Commencement no later than May 15, 2026: Register here
STEP 2. Order your gown set: You may order your gown set (gown, cap, and tassel) free of charge. You must include your PVC Student ID in the comments section of the checkout in order to receive your regalia. Students should have their order placed by May 15, 2026. - Order your gown set here
Note: Shipping will go to the address you input on your order. If you would like to order an extra tassel or request express shipping, those additional costs will not be covered and will be your responsibility.
STEP 3. Pick up your guest tickets: Once we have verified your registration, we will notify you to pick up your tickets.

Affinity Group Graduations at Palo Verde College
Palo Verde College proudly celebrates the diverse identities, experiences, and achievements of our students. In addition to our main commencement ceremony, the College hosts affinity group graduations that honor community, resilience, culture, and unique educational journeys.
These celebrations reflect Palo Verde College’s ongoing commitment to equity, inclusion, and student success. Each event provides a meaningful opportunity for students to celebrate their accomplishments alongside peers, family, and mentors who have supported them along the way.
EOPS
The EOPS Graduation Celebration recognizes students who have overcome economic and educational barriers on their path to graduation. This event highlights students’ commitment, resilience, and academic accomplishments.
ESL
The ESL Student Recognition celebration honors English as a Second Language students who have demonstrated perseverance, resilience, and determination while developing language skills and advancing their educational goals.
Lavender Graduation
Lavender Graduation celebrates LGBTQIA+ graduates and allies. This ceremony honors students’ academic achievements while affirming identity, visibility, and belonging within the campus community and beyond.
Transfer Student Recognition
Transfer Student Recognition honors students who are continuing their educational journeys at four-year colleges and universities. This celebration acknowledges their hard work, academic success, and readiness to take the next step toward achieving their goals.
Umoja
Umoja Graduation recognizes students participating in the Umoja program. This celebration honors African American identity, cultural heritage, community excellence, and the academic success of students committed to personal growth and collective empowerment.
