The Board of Trustees is required to charge each student a state enrollment fee for credit classes. Payment is due upon registration and payments can be made online through your Student Planning account or in-person in the College Administrative Services Office.
Arizona and Nevada (Guest Agreement Fee: Effective January 1, 2023. Available to all
students living in Arizona and Nevada.)
$69 per Unit (or 1.5 times the current California Resident per Unit fee)
Each year, the California Community Colleges Chancellor’s Office reviews district
eligibility under Assembly Bill 1232 (AB 1232), which allows qualifying colleges near
state borders to offer a discounted non-resident tuition rate. Based on the Chancellor’s
Office annual review of 2024–25 FTES data, Palo Verde Community College District no
longer meets the eligibility requirements established in state law.
As a result:
- The $69 per-unit discounted non-resident tuition rate will remain in effect through the 2025–26 academic year, ending with the Summer 2026 term.
- Beginning in the 2026–27 academic year (Fall 2026), the discounted rate will no longer be available, and standard non-resident tuition rates will apply.
This change is not retroactive and does not impact current or upcoming terms through Summer 2026. Students who are currently enrolled or plan to enroll through Summer 2026 will continue to receive the discounted rate during the eligible period.
Non-residents
Tuition: $400 per Unit
Enrollment Fee: $46 per Unit
California residents are charged an enrollment fee and do not pay tuition. Non-residents (not including those under the Guest Agreement) enrolling for credit classes at Palo Verde College will be charged tuition plus enrollment fees, which is due and payable upon registration.
